  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 anchovy fillets (or 1 teaspoon anchovy paste)
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • ¼ cup pasta cooking water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • Fresh parsley if you have it
  • Salt and black pepper

  8. Remove from heat, add lemon zest and Parmesan, tossing until everything glistens.
  9. Season with black pepper and top with parsley if available.
